Bleeding After 1st Intercourse: What You Should Know

A woman bleeds after her first intercourse(Sex) though not always.

Some women will bleed after having sex for the first time, while in some other women there won't be bleeding. But which ever one that occurs they are both perfectly normal.

In most cases a woman may bleed when she has a penetrative sex for the first time because of her hymen breaking.

The hymen is a thin piece of membrane that partially covers the entrance to the vagina. In some cases It usually breaks during sex, if it hasn't already broken before.

The hymen can also break before a woman have sex for the first time, through some other various activities such as horse riding and through using of tampons and other various sports.

In some cases there are few different things that can cause light bleeding during your 1st intercourse.

👉 Sex in most times can cause skin irritation and even bleeding in your vagina if it has been stretched a lot for the first time of intercourse.

👉 If your vagina is not lubricated enough, this could even cause dryness and can cause dyspareunia

👉 Or if it's irritated because of an infection such as bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection.

If the bleeding last for 2 days after intercourse; First, it could be possible that you are starting your period a bit earlier. This is of course the most common cause of vaginal bleeding...

when women experience bleeding during their first sexual intercourse it could be due to the breaking of small blood vessels at the end of the cervix.

There is usually no need of panicking when you experience this except the bleeding is too heavy/much then you will probably need to see your health care provider.
